The Model 2616-WA is the choice for hostile environment tank weighing applications. It’s true nitrogen filled hermetic seal makes it a survivor in harsh environments that require wash down, or contain corrosives.
MTI’s unique design enables the Model 2616-WA to withstand 200% overload, 100% side loading and shock loading that would damage ordinary load cells.
MTI’s calibration is traceable to The National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST). Each sensor is thoroughly tested and is calibrated to meet or exceed NIST standards of performance.
A welded 3/8" NPT fitting is provided with a water tight cable.

* Gage-Seal IITM is a proprietary sealant. It’s unique properties offer strain gauges long term protection from the penetration of hydroscopic moisture during changes in barometric pressure.
** M-Seal 3TM coating offers a high level of resistance in acidic or alkaline environments. With a thickness between 6 -10 mil., the flexible non-porus coating will increase the life of the load cell without performance degradation. In extreme environments, additional TeflonTM cable may be desirable. M-Seal 3TM is suitable for incidental food contact in USDA facilities.
