Accuracy Concepts and Multi-point Linearization
Any system that requires precise, accurate weighing can accomplish this goal by making use of multiple point linearization. Multi point linearization is a function of the electronic instrumentation and allows a system to be calibrated at various load points throughout its total carrying capacity. This corrects for inherent non-linear responses in the load cells themselves and weighing systems due to complex moments exerted by transport mechanisms, as is the general case in tanks and vessels.
Choosing the right electronics is important when precision weighing is required. Electronics with the multiple point calibration functionality, high signal resolution capability and advanced analog to digital conversion are recommended.
